European Radio Orienteering Championship and EURO CUP ‐ Four Days ARDF

Venue for the event:

Primorsko ‐ a small attractive town located on the Black sea coast, some 55 kilometers south‐east of Bourgas.  

The “Four Days” event will be held for fifth consecutive year.

It will combine the demonstration of ARDF skills

with the top of the tourist season at a perfect sea resort. Primorsko with its facilities is well known from the

World ARDF Championship 2006, EYAC 2011 and from previous four editions of “Four Days”.

Last year more than 180 competitors from 11 countries took part in this event. Amongst them lot of World

and European champions from Ukraine, Russia, and others.

The competitions will be ’Individual classification only’ event with unlimited number of participants in all

categories (youth and adults).   

Category:

European Radio Orienteering Championship as well as ARDF EURO CUP “4 Day ARDF in Bulgarian Black Sea

Coast”, 2014:

M14, M16, M19, M21, M40, M50, M60, M70, W15, W17, W21, W35, W50

If there are less than three participants in the category organizers reserve the right to move competitors to

next category.

Accommodation:  

Details shall be given in next Buletin (end of March). The desire of the organizers to be like previous year in

Beach Hotel Complex, Primorsko, Georgi Kondolov Str. 19.

Transfers:  

There are lots of low‐cost flights to Bourgas (BOJ). BFRA will arrange transfers from Bourgas International

Airport and back upon request.  

For the information of visitors, since July 2013 fully highway Sofia ‐ Burgas was put into operation. The journey

by car from Sofia to Burgas takes about 3‐3.5 hours and about 40‐50 minutes from Bourgas to Primorsko.

Awards:

Winners of the each competition and each category will be awarded certificates and medals. All competitors

will be awarded certificates for participation. Every day is considered as a separate competition! Therefore,

there won’t be an overall standing.

Fees:

1. European Radio Orienteering Championship (7‐10 July)

‐ 80 EUR in total. Includes starting fee, accommodation FB (full board for three days), maps, technical

service;

2. “ARDF EURO CUP” ‐ “4 Days ARDF at Bulgarian Black Sea Coast” (10‐13 July) ‐ 2014

‐ 80 EUR in total. Includes starting fee, accommodation FB (full board for three days), maps, technical

service);

Additional days (before and after the events):

27 EUR per day per person (accommodation, board).

*Price for accommodation is based on four people in studio.

* Prices into single, double and triple accommodation will be slightly higher and you will be notified

immediately after the conclusion of negotiations with hotels, but not later than mid‐March.

* For participants using their own accommodation starting fee is 10 EURO for each start per one

person.

Terrain description:

Deciduous forest with good runnability. In some places there may be open meadows with tall grass. At this

time of the year usually the rivers are dry or running with less volume. Temperatures during the day vary

between 24‐28 degrees.  

Different terrains, from the ones used until now, will be used for 2014 year’s event.

 144 MHz CLASSIC:

Antenna: Crossed dipole, 2m AGL

 3.5 MHz CLASSIC:

RF output power: 3 W

Antenna: Vertical wire 8 m.

 3.5 MHz SPRINT:

RF output power: 1 W

Antenna: Vertical wire 6 m.

 3.5 MHz FOXORING:

RF output power: 10 mW

Antenna: Vertical wire 50 cm.

 144 MHz FOXORING:

RF output power: 5 mW

Antenna: Crossed dipole

During the competition SPORTIDENT system will be used. The software will be provided by the leader in that

field Karl‐Heinz Schade ‐ DL7VDB http://www.ardf‐fjww.com .

Application:

Please send your application forms on time. They must include names, categories, expected day and time of

arrival and departure. Application deadline: 31th of Mart 2014.

Visa requirement:

Participants from few countries require visa to enter Bulgaria. BFRA will assist in obtaining free entry visas.

Please send a list with the names, family names and passport numbers as soon as possible. Keep in mind that

arranging the documents in the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Bulgaria takes a week.
